One Pot Creamy Wisconsin White Cheddar Shells

This easy one pot recipe combines three types of Wisconsin cheese for a creamy craveable dish the whole family will love.

  • 16 ounces medium shell pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup whole milk, divided
  • 1 package (8 ounces) Wisconsin cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) Wisconsin fontina cheese, grated
  •   fresh parsley, optional


Cook pasta to al dente. Drain and return to stove.

Over low heat, stir in butter, 1/2 cup milk, cream cheese, salt and pepper.

Add cheddar and fontina in small increments, stirring until cheese is melted and well combined.

Add remaining milk as necessary to reach desired creaminess.

Remove from the stove and serve. Garnish with parsley if desired.
